Approving Trip Requests

As an approver, it is important to understand the options available for approving and denying trips, as well as requesting changes to a trip request. This article details how to view a trip request and move it along in the trip approval process.
 
Open the Waiting for My Approval widget. The red number indicates how many trips are waiting for your approval.

 Click on the trip number to open the request.

Scroll through the request to review the information. It has several sections: General, Leave/Return, Destination(s), Attendees, Transportation, Funding, and Supporting Documents.

Approve Request

To approve a request, click Approve. The approval option may vary depending on your level of approval.
Depending on where you are in the approval process, the request will automatically be sent to the next approver or the vehicle owner.

Request Changes

To request changes to the request, click Request Changes. 

Add a detailed comment to let the requester know what needs changing, and click Submit. The request will automatically be sent back to the requester for them to update the information.

Deny Request

To deny the request, click Deny Request. Add comments to let the requester know why the request is denied.

Add a detailed comment to let the requester know what needs changing, and click Submit. The requester will receive a notification letting them know the request was denied, along with your comment.
